City-Hop: 7 Chicago Chill Day

Intro

Yesterday, my plans
were to just relax.
And maybe grab a coffee.

Cat Lovins

Roommate has two cats,
one of whom, Trap Queen,
likes to follow and love up
on you and requests pets
often.

I awkwardly took this photo, trying to show Trap Queen helping me out with my planks.

She was company for the morning!
And any time
I am around.

Coffee and Beer

I messaged Keri and we
decided to have coffee in the afternoon
at a little place that
opened up nearby.

The people there were super
friendly, and the barista even
seemed to be willing to have
a connection instead of just
rush off to the next coffee.
Not that he was lollygagging around,
but it was a nice surprise
that he actually seemed to listen.

It was delicious,
we grabbed a cookie
and we talked for quite
awhile.

Then, we decided it was
beer time. We found a little
hole-in-the-wall joint
that almost didn't look up.
We were very confused.

We grabbed the one drink
they had on tap and the girl
suggested we go to the beer garten
out back.
It was pleasant!

We walked over to another joint
which seemed a bit more
upscale (thought not too much)
and had some corn dogs
powered with sugar
and more beer. We also got
a shot, which we didn't know
what it was until we received
them. It was whiskey...
Oops.

The fun part about the corn dog,
though,
was trying to do a little photoshoot
with it. I wonder if she ever used any
of the images we took. I'll
have to ask.
It was for her foodie instagram.

Outro

I feel like I should be
doing these posts a bit
differently, but I'm just
not sure, yet.

Anyway, I plan on
doing a lot of the tourist things
on Monday and maybe Tuesday.
