City-Hop: 8 Chicago to DeBalk

Intro

Once again, this was
a fairly easy-going day.

Morning

Same as yesterday,
I hung out with
Trap Queen for most of the
morning.

I also packed up my things
and got ready to go to Tanner's.
I really wanted to take
the train out as far as I could,
stopping at an observatory
on my way there, and then
rent a car. But the more I
looked into it, the more
I realized it'd be too much of
a hassle. Especially since many
places were closed on Sundays.
Since I'll be spending Friday
to Sunday with Tanner and Kitty,
that was going to be an issue.
So, instead, I took the
greyhound bus.

Day

I hate that I have to take the
greyhound, just because I've
bought so many tickets
before that ended up being
wasted. I really do hate that.
But sometimes, it just makes
the most sense to go with them.

Evening

I met up with an old
friend of mine, Tanner,
in DeKalb, and
his girlfriend, Kitty.
They have three cats,
Shada, Simba, and Maui.

He made some dinner
and coffee. Yummms!
Then helped me with
my clothes and
I passed out. It was
a bit of an uneventful
day, but I was happy
to get to see him and
finally meet Kitty!!

Outro

Overall, it was a
good day. No complaints.
I also posted a self portrait
yesterday, on Instagram,
which has received a bit
of attention. It's just me
sitting in a chair, looking
in the mirror. My pose
was more confident than
usual, but I thought it was
a good photo. Ayesha likes
it too, and told me to
put it up. But I have, since,
had a couple guys message
me about it. What nobody
seems to notice is there
is a poem with it. I'll put
that up in another post.
But depression and anxiety
is real, and I don't want to
hide that side of me
anymore.
