Day 14: Light Painting
The lens converter came just in time for today's challenge: light painting. I marked up saran wrap with a pink sharpie, wrapped it around a small flashlight, and angled it away from the camera to get these affects.
I used a 50mm EOS Canon lens on a Nikon 1 J4 mirrorless camera to get these shots. With Nikon lenses, the camera will only "kind of" let me do manual, and will only take photos when the CAMERA thinks a photo should be taken. I was getting incredibly frustrated. Since I recently acquired a couple EOS 650 SLR Canon film cameras with 3 different lenses, I decided to buy a cheap $20 converter and see if I could get better results. So much better.
If you can't tell what's going on, I was playing with different ISO settings and shutter speed settings. A heart, two says "Jessi" and one says "love." Well, that's what they're supposed to be. My first time trying light painting photos.
