Day 9: Bokeh

In this shot, I was trying to inspire a night of mystery and festivity.  Almost like a dark Mardi Gras.  I used my Nikon 1 J4 and set up 4 different photo shoots today before I was finally satisfied with this one.  I have learned the limits of this camera!  The biggest trick to getting this shot was playing around with the distance and lighting.  since I'm limited with both, this was quite the challenge.   I am therefore now convinced that if I can do this, anybody can.

If anyone is curious, I had bought a mask years ago, painted it black (you can see the original design of the mask with the greyish texture dancing around the eyes and forehead), added sticker pearls which I had gotten at a crafts store, added the gem on the nose, and painted the eyes a gold glitter with nail polish.
